Born in Mosul, Iraq, in 1981, Paul and his family moved to England when he was just six weeks old. His parents, both doctors, later sought political asylum in the United States, and the family eventually settled in Canton, Ohio, in 1990. Paul’s interest in investing started in high school and grew during the dot-com boom of the late 1990s. Influenced by Warren Buffett’s principles, he shifted his focus from speculation to true investing, recognizing that buying stocks meant owning part of a business.
After graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in Economics, Paul founded The Crossroads Group in 2004, specializing in real estate investments.
